Brian Lim, Partner

Brian Lim is widely recognized as an exceptional legal expert across various fields. His areas of expertise include corporate-related litigation such as mergers and acquisitions, investment contracts, and investment returns, as well as litigation related to redevelopment and reconstruction, disciplinary and severance pay, and divorce lawsuits. Brian Lim has also achieved outstanding results in criminal law, securing acquittals and non-prosecution in cases involving embezzlement, breach of trust, fraud, property destruction, violations of the Medical Law, and illicit filming.

He has provided advisory services to numerous public institutions and domestic companies, including Korea Communications Commission, Personal Information Protection Commission, and The Board of Audit and Inspection of Korea. In addition, he has successfully handled corporate-related lawsuits for companies like Kumho E&C, Dürr Korea, and Myungin Education, as well as real estate-related lawsuits like Sinchon Gran Xi, Acro River Park, accumulating a wide range of expertise and know-how.

Currently, Brian Lim provides customized legal advice to various domestic and international media and entertainment companies and their employees, while handling related litigation. His expertise and successful experience in diverse fields are sure to instill high confidence in clients.

• A case where a lawsuit was filed to return the investment proceeds already paid, but the claim was dismissed
• A case in which a media company filed a lawsuit against the regional headquarters to terminate the contract, but the mediation to maintain the contract was confirmed
• A case in which a lawsuit was filed to invalidate the management and disposal plan of a redevelopment association, but was dismissed
• A case where a claim was made to remove the fence that crossed the boundary and hand over the land, and it was admitted
• A case in which a provisional injunction was requested to allow access to the company’s account books, and it was admitted
• A case in which the executive was prosecuted for fraud in that he received payment for sale without any intention to sell stocks, but was acquitted
• A case in which a doctor was prosecuted for violating the medical law for refusing medical treatment, but was acquitted
